Situated about 7 kilometres north of Benidorm on the Costa Blanca, Spain, the pretty coastal town of Altea has often been called 'the artists capital of the Costa Blanca', as the narrow streets of the old town are lined with the workshops and galleries of the artists and potters who have made their home there.

Calle Santo Domingo - in the heart of historic Altea: To get acquainted with Altea, you should leave your watch behind you, and roam the streets at your leisure. Stepping out of Calle Santo Domingo and turning left takes you to the Church Square - the focal point of the Old Town, and home to the landmark blue and white dome.
